Alavalapati  Goutham  Reddy

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and the Director of the Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) at the University of Illinois Springfield, USA. My research focuses on Applied Cryptography and Cybersecurity, with an emphasis on designing authentication protocols and applications for various environments.

Before joining UIS, I served as an Assistant Professor at Fontbonne University (USA) and the National Institute of Technology (India), and as a Research Professor in the Department of Information Security at Sejong University (South Korea). I also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the KINDI Center for Computing Research, Qatar University (Qatar), in collaboration with Purdue University (USA), under the supervision of Prof. Qutaibah Malluhi and Prof. Ryan Riley.

I received my Ph.D. in Cybersecurity from Kyungpook National University (South Korea), where I was fortunate to be advised by Prof. Kee-Young Yoo and Prof. Eun-Jun Yoon. I successfully defended my dissertation in December 2016 and graduated in February 2017. During my doctoral studies, I also had the opportunity to collaborate with Prof. Ashok Kumar Das and Prof. Hyun Sung Kim.
